Probably everyone who visits this site are interested in cycle-touring, and some persons knows the existence of JACC (Japan Adventure Cyclist Club).

As written in JACC members magazine "Pedalian no.115 (issued on 1/Apr/2011) [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8]", Bangkok branch was founded in May 2011, which is the 4th branch of JACC after South America, Manaus branch（Mr. Shouji Hashimoto), Alaska branch (Mr. Keizou Funatsu, Ms. Tadae Funatsu), Sandiego branch (Mr. Masao Kaji, Ms. Holly Kaji).

JACC Bangkok branch provides information for cycle-touring in countries around Thailand (especially Thailand) as much as I can, and supports cyclists.

* But please understand in advance that sometimes I cannot response your too urgent request, because on weekday I work at local company as one of system engineer, and I have a Thai wife who cannot keep bad hours in house.

Provide cycle-touring information about Thailand and countries around Thailand
You can inquire me in case that you plan to go cycle-touring in Thailand and countries around Thailand.
Not only I provide information to you by myself but also I have some friends and JACC members who can cooperate to provide cycle-touring information.
Please feedback your information to us for followers after cycle-touring.
What I've been asked most so fa, is the information about road conditions/cheap hotels/public order between Bangkok - Malaysia - Singapore. After that,
- Northern Laos (Viantiane --> Luang Prabang --> Huaixai --> Chaing Khong)
- Across Vietnam (Hanoi --> Hue --> Ho Chi Min)
- Ho Chi Min (Vietnam) --> Penom Penh (Cambodia) --> Bangkok
- Bangkok --> Mai Sai --> Myanmar --> Yunnan (China)
etc. Surprisingly, I barely foound cyclists who pedaled in Brunei, Indonesia, and Philippins. (Maybe need much cost for moving?)
BTW, I don't have information about Myanmar, Bangladesh so much. It's interesting if we'll able to go cycle-touring in the future, passing Bangkok, Mae Sot, Langoon (Myanmar), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Kolkata (India). But at present time, there are no way to go across whole country in Myanmar.
Introduce cheap hotel (near JACC Bangkok branch)
If you want to stay at chaep hotel as much as you can, I'll introduce one cheap hotel near JACC Bangkok branch. 280 baht per night.
If my wife favorites you and approve your stay, you can stay the JACC Bangkok branch office. If you're female, I think probably she approves you 100%. My wife understands Japanese at easy level, and is accustomed to be hospitable to Japanese persons. But please do not smoke in the office.
JACC Bangkok branch is located near the BTS station "Phra Khanong", not located in the Khaosan area which is the holy space for backpackers. Public order is safer than Khaosan area.
And I'll take you to an cheap and delicious stall near JACC Bangkok branch office.
Introduce cycle shop in Bangkok
I think sometimes you have the case that you want to exchange cycle parts on the way to the around-the-world. Some cyclists receive cycle parts from Japan at Bangkok G.P.O. But you can obtain general cycle parts at cycle shop in Bangkok. In that case, I'll take you to the cycle shop. But the price of cycle parts is almost same as the price in Japan.
Pick you up at the airport / Send you to the airport
If you contact me in advance and it's on Saturday-Sunday-National holiday or the night of weekdays, I'll pick you up at the airport to Bangkok city center or send you from Bangkok city center to the airport by car at 300 baht. Please reserve in advance. If you take a taxi, sometimes you're cheated by a driver because he can't speak Japanese and English so much. But if you use the service of JACC Bangkok branch, it's safer and you can communicate with me in Japanese of course.
Interpret/Translate Thai language
You can ask me about Thai language if you're in trouble about Thai (or Laos) language.
I myself can speak/hear/write/read Thai language at the level more than daily conversation, and my wife is Thai woman, so we can resolve your Thai language problem.
In districts in Thailand, sometimes they can't understand English so much. And if you study Thai language (pronunciation) by halves, you can't talk with them. Thus I think almost all foreign travellers communicates with them by easy English and gestures. But sometimes you're annoyed in it.
The short interpretation by telephone (about a few minutes) : Free, and case-by-case more than that.
And the translation of document (Japanese/Engish/Thailand) : 500 baht per A4 paper
(At first sight it looks like business, it's the kind of mutual rules to be defined in advance from my experience.
But I refuse the interpretation/translation about Mafia, Drug, Prostitution, the trouble of love absolutely.
Sightseeing in Bangkok
If I don't have any schedule on Saturday-Sunday-National Holiday, I'll be able to take you to the nitch sightseeing with cheap price in response to your request.
